Honoring our mentor prof. Robert Jahn, conscious tech pioneer
November 15, 2017
Today we honor the late Dr Robert Jahn, former dean of Princeton University engineering, award-winning space propulsion physicist and conscious tech pioneer, mentor, and friend (April 1, 1930 - November 15, 2017).
Dr Robert Jahn, dean emeritus of engineering at Princeton University and co-founder of the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research (PEAR), has passed away. Even though I feel this is a transition and not an end, I already miss his physical presence among us. One less voice of reason, wisdom and kindness in this critical time. However, he helped us all have the courage to be such voices. It is, of course, up to each of us to our part to honor his principled and watershed contribution to humanity. His work is alive through those he mentored and inspired.
I had the good fortune of interning at the PEAR lab and spending time with Bob at conferences, visits to Princeton, and when he came to University of Florida through the Science of Self Club and the Center for Spirituality and Health. I so enjoyed enlightening conversations about the past, present and future of consciousness science and conscious tech with Bob. He showed us all that it is possible to be rigorous and curious, kind and courageous, and that it is always worth following the evidence, even when it came at a personal cost. We love you, Bob!
